Editorial and corrections policy
Fuel Route Guide’s editorial standard is simple: explain what a number represents and avoid promising more certainty than its source supports. The editor, Shehan Chamudith Udakumbura, applies it to every guide.
Sources and evidence
Use retailer pages for access and payment conditions, official product help for product behaviour, and clearly attributed station observations for actual prices. Keep regional averages and forecasts separate. Record the time of the observation when using price data; a page refresh is not a new observation.
Never publish a current cheapest-station ranking without a defined grade, geography, freshness rule and comparison sample. Missing reports should remain missing rather than being filled with an area estimate.
Original work and examples
Label illustrative calculations clearly and show the inputs. Do not invent a visit, receipt, quote, author or test. Local guides should add original evidence such as a documented route comparison, a permission-cleared station photograph or a responsibly collected set of observations.
The named editor checks every claim, calculation and source before a page is published. Research dates and publication dates are kept separate.
Corrections
Readers should be able to send the page URL, the disputed statement, supporting evidence and the date observed through the contact page or by email to hello@gasbuddyapk.com. The editor investigates and corrects confirmed errors. Material changes are described in a dated correction note. No fixed response time is promised.
Commercial relationships
Any future paid placement or affiliate relationship should be disclosed beside the relevant recommendation. Sponsorship must not be silently presented as the cheapest result. The final website should label sponsored links appropriately.
